Steps to Matching Your Nails with Your Outfit

When you wake up in the morning and you’re thinking about an outfit to put on are you also thinking about what goes with your nails? Well, if you aren’t you should be!

There are always some do’s and don'ts when it comes to you having your nails done and picking your outfit.

Think about the color scheme, style, and length you want your nails to be.

If there is a special occasion and you already have an outfit in mind that you want to wear, look on Pinterest to find inspiration. Pinterest is a great app to help you find the perfect match. A helpful tip to remember is neutral colors like browns, gold, nude, white, are very easy to match. We have a variety of neutral colors in our shop section. The Nude Collection gives you a variety of different nudes and browns, which is a perfect choice for you. This collection compliments every skin tone and can match with the outfit of your choice!

Matching your jewelry with your nails could elevate your look.

When creating a lewk, jewelry is a key factor in completing your outfit. Everyone loves jewelry. Watches, necklaces, rings, and earrings can bring the outfit to life. It doesn’t have to be anything big or flashy, but adding a little bit more flavor could take your look to the next level. Making your hands pop not only looks better, but it makes you feel good as well.

Don’t mix patterns.

Putting too many patterns together can make your overall outfit clash. If your outfit pattern is stripes or leopard, keep your nails simplistic. Try doing a sweet and simple ombre with pinkish nude and white. You could never go wrong with a classic design that can stand out as much as your outfit does.

Don’t feel like you can’t ask for help.

Recently I got my nails done for a special occasion. I already had an outfit in mind. While thinking about wearing my orange and brown skirt with matching brown corset, I kept asking myself, “how am I about to do my nails?” I decided to do a brown marble french tip with a gold accent just to give it a little bit more flare. Before making a final decision I showed my nail technician a picture of my outfit and we brainstormed ideas. It was her idea to add the gold to match the jewelry that I am wearing with this outfit. When I got home I put my nails up to my outfit and it went perfectly together! It wasn’t too much and wasn’t too little.
